In addition, necessary measures should be taken to facilitate this integration with family responsibilities which should be fully shared by both partners. Accordingly, this study focuses on women's socio-economic status without dealing in-depth with other aspects of status. It also examines the extent to which social, demographic and behavioural characteristics of the working women themselves alleviate or aggravate their economic problems.
