    Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia, characterized by progressive memory impairment, cognitive decline, and behavioral disturbances, and it represents a major public health challenge worldwide. Existing therapies, including cholinesterase inhibitors and N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor antagonists, provide only temporary symptomatic relief and do not modify the underlying disease mechanisms. Their effectiveness is further restricted by poor solubility, low bioavailability, systemic toxicity, and the protective nature of the blood–brain barrier (BBB), which prevents most drugs from reaching the brain. These limitations emphasize the urgent need for advanced delivery strategies. Nanotechnology has emerged as a promising approach to overcome these barriers. Engineered nano systems—such as liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, dendrimers, solid lipid nanoparticles, metallic nanoparticles, and nano micelles—offer enhanced solubility, improved pharmacokinetics, sustained release, and targeted transport across the BBB. Many of these carriers have also been adapted for theragnostic use, combining drug delivery with imaging functions to enable early diagnosis and personalized treatment. Preclinical investigations show that nanocarriers can enhance the stability and brain uptake of anti-Alzheimer’s agents, reduce amyloid aggregation, and provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Despite encouraging progress, clinical translation remains limited due to challenges in large-scale production, regulatory approval, long-term safety evaluation, and economic feasibility. Addressing these barriers through international collaboration, harmonized standards, and integration of emerging fields such as RNA therapeutics and artificial intelligence may accelerate development. Overall, nanomedicine represents a transformative path toward disease-modifying interventions in AD.

    This paper presents a rigorously defined algebraic framework for strengthening Big Data security and privacy through semigroup theory. Earlier conceptual approaches lacked formal grounding; this work redefines the role of semigroups by establishing explicit models rooted in lattice theory, cryptographic semigroup actions, and homomorphic cryptography. The proposed framework introduces: (1) a formal access control model based on meet-semilattices, (2) a provably secure hierarchical key derivation algorithm founded on the computational hardness of the semigroup action problem, and (3) a privacy-preserving data aggregation mechanism using semigroup-homomorphic signatures. A formal security proof and comparative evaluation against Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) are included, offering a substantiated and forward-looking contribution to Big Data security research.

    Background: Arteriovenous fistulas are common form of chronic haemodialysis access. Pain during areteriovenous fistulacannulation remains a common problem in haemodialysis patients. The aim of the study is to assess the level of pain after application of cold gel pack during arteriovenous fistula cannulation among haemodialysis patients. Methodology: The research adopted for the study was quantitative research approach using quasi-experimental research design under post-test research design.A convenient sampling technique was used for selecting sample of 60 patients (30 each in experimental and control groups) who were undergoing haemodialysis by using arteriovenous fistula cannulation at IKDRC-ITS hospital, Ahmedabad.A modified numerical pain scale (Mc Caffery and Beebe, 1989) was developed to assess the effectiveness of cold gel pack application and pain related responses during AVF puncture. Descriptive and inferential statistics was used to analyse the data. Results: Majority 20 (66.67%)in experimental group and 20 (66.67%)in control group ofsamples were male belongs to the age group of 28-50 years. The mean score in experimental group was 4.2 and control group was 5.76 with mean difference was 1.56. The calculated “t” value in experimental group and control group was 4.43 and tabulated “t” value was 2.05 at 0.05 level of significance. Conclusion: The mean control group pain score was significantly higher than mean experimental group pain scores.Therefore, the null hypothesis H0 was rejected and research hypothesis H1was accepted and it revealed that the cold gel pack application was effective in terms of pain management among the patients.

    The prevalence of gastrointestinal helminths of local chickens in Beed district Maharashtra India was studied using a total of 250 intestines of backyard chickens were collected from the chicken outlets of local poultry slaughter houses located in and around Beed district in maharashtraa The birds were sacrificed humanely and their oesophagus, crop, proventriculus, gizzard, small intestine and caecum examined for the presence of gastrointestinal helminths. Worms when present were isolated and identified using standard parasitological procedures. The study identified four species of cestodes namely Raillietinaechinobothridia, R. tetragona, R. cesticillus and Choanotaenia infundibulum and two species of nematodes namely, Ascaridia galli and Heterakisgallinarum. Results obtained showed 96.8 % prevalence of gastrointestinal helminth parasites in the birds with cestodes being the more prevalent class (70.4 %). Raillietinaspp was the most prevalent cestode encountered and A. galli the most prevalent nematode. Prevalence rates of infections recorded 14.4 % for nematode species, 26.4 % for cestodes and 56 % for mixed infections of nematodes and cestodes. It was concluded that local chickens are common in the area and could serve as a potential source of helminth infections to intensively managed birds in the study area.

    Housing is a fundamental human necessity, yet a significant portion of India's population continues to live in inadequate conditions. To combat this issue, the Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) with the goal of providing permanent housing equipped with essential amenities to homeless families and those residing in substandard or dilapidated dwellings. This study examines the implementation and impact of PMAY in Chhatni village, Purulia district, West Bengal, a region predominantly inhabited by the Santhal community. Using a combination of observations, interviews, and case studies, the research assesses the scheme's effectiveness in improving housing conditions. The findings highlight both the potential of PMAY in transforming rural housing and the challenges related to implementation, transparency, and community involvement. Addressing these concerns through policy refinement and enhanced beneficiary participation is crucial for the program's long-term success. Future research should focus on assessing the scheme’s sustained impact on rural livelihoods and exploring strategies for inclusive housing development.

    This study seeks to identify the key determinants of performance among Senegal's top 100m sprinters using a multivariate approach. Twenty male athletes specializing in the 100m were selected based on their performance in national championships. Several anthropometric, cardiorespiratory and physical variables were measured before and during the race. The statistical analysis was based on Pearson's correlation, principal component analysis (PCA) and clustering (K-Means and Ward). The results show that variables such as 30m standing start speed (r = 0.97), VO2max (r = 0.59), and stride length (r = 0.50) are strongly correlated with performance. PCA reveals that 95.7% of the variance in performance is explained by five principal components. Three distinct sprinter profiles were identified. These results provide an objective basis for adapting training programs and optimizing talent detection in Senegal.

    This study presents an integrated Geospatial and Socio-Environmental and Demographic assessment of the profound impacts of a non-functional dam. Utilizing an advanced geospatial workflow with Landsat 7 and Landsat 8 satellite imagery, analysed through ArcGIS 10.8, it accurately quantified two decades of physical transformations in the area's land use and land cover. The analysis conclusively demonstrated severe negative environmental consequences, including a significant reduction in vegetation cover and a drastic shift away from traditional, sustainable agricultural landscapes. This remote sensing data was critically complemented by a comprehensive on-site field survey. Using structured questionnaires, the gathered first-hand data on the direct human consequences, specifically examining the impacts on local livelihoods, population stability, educational opportunities and settlement patterns. This qualitative and quantitative survey data was also cross-referenced with the 2011 Census of India to provide a robust demographic baseline. The empirical findings, meticulously presented in tabular format, unequivocally show that the dam has caused more long-standing harm than benefit, creating grievances that far outweigh its intended advantages. This research provides concrete, data-driven insights for policymakers and governing bodies. The goal is to inform and guide the development of effective, equitable policies and interventions necessary to mitigate the socio-economic and environmental challenges that have burdened the affected communities for years.

    The aim of this study was to contribute to a better understanding of the biological and chemical properties of Momordica charantia and Parquetina nigrescens by assessing their potential toxicity, hemolytic activity, and mineral composition. Cytotoxicity tests performed on Vero and RD cell lines revealed that P. nigrescens exhibited a dose-dependent response, with mean IC₅₀ values of 51.70 ± 3.8 µg/mL (24 h), 187.23 ± 6.4 µg/mL (48 h), and 137.40 ± 5.2 µg/mL (72 h). M. charantia showed comparable cytotoxicity at 24 h (73.81 ± 4.1 µg/mL) and 48 h (74.39 ± 3.9 µg/mL), but significantly increased cytotoxicity at 72 h (24.40 ± 2.3 µg/mL), suggesting a delayed action mechanism. The hemolytic activity assessment showed very low hemolysis (<1%) for both extracts, indicating good erythrocyte tolerance up to 200 µg/mL. Mineral analysis revealed high levels of calcium (3132.69 ± 102.7 mg/kg), zinc (807.93 ± 27.6 mg/kg), iron (108.97 ± 9.1 mg/kg), and magnesium (198.30 ± 12.5 mg/kg) in P. nigrescens, supporting its potential as a complementary mineral source. In comparison, M. charantia displayed lower concentrations, particularly in iron (6.81 ± 0.7 mg/kg) and magnesium (11.76 ± 1.2 mg/kg), but remained a moderate source of potassium (307.36 ± 15.4 mg/kg). In conclusion, P. nigrescens stands out for its rich mineral profile and moderate cytotoxicity, whereas M. charantia demonstrates increased long-term cytotoxicity, along with good hemolytic tolerance. These findings support further pharmacological investigations to enhance the therapeutic potential of these medicinal plants.

    Digital transformation serves as a vital means to empower local livestock development, enhance production efficiency, improve quality control, strengthen regulatory capabilities, and promote sustainable development. Currently, the livestock industry in Tibet exhibits a pronounced trend toward digital transformation, yet significant contradictions persist between economic growth and environmental pollution control. Local farmers are reluctant to engage in frontline livestock farming, while small and medium-sized individual farmers lack competitive awareness; livestock and poultry products harbor multiple quality and safety risks, making oversight challenging; increased operational uncertainties have dampened farmers' investment willingness. Digital transformation offers new pathways to effectively address industry challenges and boost farmers' incomes. Recommendations include: -Creating digital application scenarios and new business models to expand agglomeration capacity; Promoting digital transformation in the livestock sector and clustering digital herders; Building a digital ecosystem for the healthy development of digital herders.

    The platform economy has become a core carrier of youth employment in Beijing; however, employment quality exhibits significant skill-based stratification. Notable disparities exist among young people with different skill levels concerning income stability, career development, and industry distribution. Enhancing youth employment quality faces four major bottlenecks: the polarization of employment quality due to skill stratification, the exacerbation of disparities by platform rules and industry segmentation, algorithmic control coupled with a lack of protections, and insufficient alignment between training and job requirements. This paper proposes a systematic four-dimensional strategy centered on "skills matching," comprising "stratified training, rules optimization, safety-net protections, and collaborative efforts." This approach aims to enable young people across skill levels to share the dividends of the digital economy, improve employment quality, and provide youth talent support for building Beijing into a global benchmark city for the digital economy.

    Background: Nigeria faces significant challenges in achieving food security and improving public health outcomes, particularly among most vulnerable populations. Objective: This study examines the nexus between nutrition and agriculture in Nigeria, identifying opportunities for strengthening their integration to improve food security and public health outcomes .Methods: A mixed-methods approach was used to analyze the current state of nutrition and agriculture in Nigeria, identify linkages between the two sectors, and assess the impact of nutrition-sensitive agriculture. Key Findings: The study highlights the critical need for a multisectoral approach to addressing hunger, malnutrition, and diet-related diseases. Actionable recommendations include:1. Developing a national nutrition-sensitive agricultural policy.2. Establishing a multisectoral coordination mechanism.3. Promoting climate-smart agricultural practices. Conclusion: This study underscores the importance of integrating nutrition and agriculture to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 2, 3, 12, and 17. It reaffirms the role of the Committee on World Food Security and upholds the Rome Declaration on Nutrition and Framework for Action. Recommendations: There is an urgent need for collective action to:1. Develop rural areas for sustainable agriculture and fisheries.2. Support smallholder farmers, especially women farmers, herders, and fishers.3. Prioritize resource allocation to least developed areas.

    L’aulacode a été proposé comme modèle de recherche indigène adaptable en raison de ses attributs neuroendocrinien uniques, d'où la nécessité d'établir des informations de base sur son système endocrinien. Ce travail a été conçu pour comparer l'architecture histologique de la glande pituitaire colorée au trichrome de Masson et à l’hématéine-éosine. Huit (8) aulacodes mâles de différents âges (3 à 8 mois) ont été choisis. Leurs cerveaux ont été disséqués et les hypophyses soigneusement prélevées. Des coupes de tissus ont été préparées et colorées à l'aide d'hématéine-éosine et de trichrome de Masson. Grossièrement, l’hypophyse de l’aulacode est un organe en forme de disque situé dans la selle turcique. Il présente une constante topographique et architecturale quel que soit l’âge. L’adénohypophyse est riche en cordons cellulaires avec des cellules acidophiles, basophiles et chromophobes nettement distinguables. La neurohypophyse est quant à elle riche en pituicytes et en cellules gliales. L’analyse des coupes colorées au trichrome de Masson et à l’hématéine-éosine, a indiqué que la coloration au trichrome de Masson est plus adaptée à l’appréciation des éléments cellulaires.

    Purpose: The purpose of this case report is to highlight the successful use of percutaneous renal ablation combined with hydrodissection of perinephric fat to safely displace the colon and achieve effective tumor control in a high-risk oncology patient with multiple comorbidities. This technique offers a potential solution for patients with renal masses located near critical structures, such as the gastrointestinal tract, where thermal injury is a significant concern. Case Summary: A 78-year-old female patient with a history of coronary artery disease and previous breast cancer was referred for management of an incidental renal mass. Initial imaging revealed a 2,2 cm enhancing mass located in the left kidney, with a distance of approximately 1,4 mm from the descending colon. Given her complex medical history, including ischemic heart disease and advanced age, she was deemed high-risk for surgery. Due to the tumor’s proximity to the colon, a decision was made to proceed with image- guided radio frequency ablation (RFA), incorporating a hydrodissection technique to ensure safe tumor ablation without compromising surrounding tissues. Conclusion: This case illustrates the efficacy of using hydrodissection in conjunction with radiofrequency ablation to treat renal tumors located near critical structures, such as the colon. The technique allowed for safe tumor ablation without thermal injury to the surrounding organs, providing a successful outcome in a high-risk patient. The 12-month imaging follow-up showed complete tumor necrosis, demonstrating the potential of this approach in enhancing the safety and efficacy of percutaneous renal tumor ablation.

    Background: Obstetric critical care with its fast-evolving modalities of care is developing to match the advances and novel concepts in obstetric perioperative care. Goals for anesthesia for cesarean delivery must include the comfort and safety of the parturient, and the well-being of the fetus and neonate. Our study aimed to analyse the trends of anesthesia in our tertiary care institute. Methodology: This observational prospective study was conducted over a period of 18 months including 24,366 obstetric patients for emergency or elective cases for surgical procedures during pregnancy. In OT all demographic details, ASA Status, Indication of surgery, Type of anaesthesia, any complications, Patient satisfaction, Neonatal outcome and need of resuscitation, time interval between spinal skin prick to delivery of baby and interval between induction of General Anaesthesia to delivery of baby were noted. Results: In elective OT, Spinal versus General anesthesia was 77.6% vs 22.4% of cases. In emergency OT, it was 95.5% vs. 4.5%, respectively. The time interval from induction to delivery of baby in general anesthesia was 5–10 min, whereas time interval from spinal prick to delivery was 10-15 min. Patient’s satisfaction showed that spinal anesthesia is associated with higher patients’ satisfaction rates. Conclusion: By understanding these trends and time intervals, we can refine anesthesia practice, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the quality of obstetric anesthesia services at our tertiary care institute

    Maize (Zea mays), the “Queen of Cereals,” is the world’s third most cultivated crop after rice and wheat, with global production exceeding one billion tons annually. However, fungal diseases such as Northern Corn Leaf Blight (NCLB), caused by Exserohilum turcicum, significantly reduce maize yield, threatening food security under changing climatic conditions. This study employs transcriptomic, network biology, and machine learning approaches to investigate maize defense responses against fungal infection. Publicly available RNA-Seq data comprising 27 maize leaf samples across three genotypes EtEC81 (fungal effector), GFP (control), and ZmEIP1 (elicitor-induced protein)were analyzed at 10, 14, and 21 days post-infection. Reads were aligned to Zea mays B73 genome, followed by differential expression (DEG) analysis, Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis (WGCNA), and classification using Random Forest, XGBoost, Support Vector Machine, and Logistic Regression models. A total of 1,202 significant co-expressed genes and 350 DEGs were identified, enriched in immune signaling, hormone regulation, and metabolic pathways. Machine learning models converged on 4,280 key genes, highlighting pathogen recognition, transcriptional regulation, and cell wall reinforcement. Functional characterization revealed 65 transcription factors (notably bHLH), 145 resistance (R) genes dominated by kinase-class receptors, and 54 carbohydrate-active enzymes (CAZymes), particularly GT1, involved in secondary metabolism and defense responses. Protein–protein interaction analysis uncovered central hub genes, including stress-related kinases and glutathione transferases, underpinning immune suppression and metabolic reprogramming by the pathogen. These findings reveal stage-specific defense activation and recovery mechanisms in maize, offering potential disease-resistance candidates for breeding strategies. Integrating transcriptomics with machine learning provides a robust framework to dissect host–pathogen interactions in crop systems.

    Introduction: Drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) is a diagnostic tool for evaluating obstruction of upper airway during sedation and predicting surgical outcomes. Case Series: We conducted this case series in total 10male patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). The patientswere sedated with 1mcg/kg of Dexmedetomidine administered over 10 minutes, followed by 0.3-0.7 mcg/kg/hr infusion and Co-administration of inj. Propofol 0.5mg/kg according to lean body weight to achieve a target level of BIS of 60-70 for optimal sedation. Once the desired sedation level was reached, a flexible fiberopticvideolaryngoscope was inserted to observe upper airway obstruction. Discussion: Combination of Dexmedetomidine and Propofol provided safe and effective sedation during DISE procedure in patients with OSA. Synergistic effect of both the drugs provided sedation with better hemodynamic stability and desirable BIS. Conclusion: Dexmedetomidine and propofol combination resulted in effective sedation, inducing a state closely resembling natural sleep without notable cardiac or respiratory depression.

    Graphene is the well-known two-dimensional (2D) material that has attracted immense scientific attention due to its unique electronic and mechanical properties. However, pristine graphene lacks intrinsic magnetism and a tunable bandgap, which limits its applications in spintronic and semiconductor devices. This paper presents a comprehensive study of the magnetic properties and electronic structure of graphene-based 2D materials, focusing on defect engineering, doping strategies, and heterostructure formation. First-principles calculations and theoretical models to elucidate how modifications in graphene lead to emergent magnetic behaviour and electronic tunability. This work explores insights into engineering graphene for future electronic, spintronic, and quantum devices.

    Diabetes is a chronic disease that is often associated with disability and the threat of serious complications. It requires lifelong treatment or treatment over many years. This indefinite duration of treatment could increase the rate of non-adherence to treatment for this disease and lead to difficulties in adaptation among diabetic patients. It is therefore essential to take this adaptive dimension into account and to emphasize holistic care for diabetic patients. This study examines the relationship between coping strategies, the caregiver-patient relationship, and treatment adherence in type 2 diabetic patients in Abidjan. Data were collected using the overall adherence score developed by Duvert and Gonnet (2014), the French adaptation of the W.C.C-R (Ways of Coping Checklist) by Cousson-Gélieand al. (1996) and the experimental Doctor-Patient Communication Scale (CMM-13) by Gibert and Kernou (2014) from 133 participants aged between 24 and 78. The results indicate a relationship between coping strategies and therapeutic compliance on the one hand, and reveal a significant link between coping strategies and therapeutic compliance on the other.

    Background: Osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCFs) commonly affect the dorsolumbar spine and result in pain, kyphotic deformity, and impaired quality of life. While both kyphoplasty and posterior spinal fixation (PSF) are utilized in surgical management, comparative data on functional and radiological outcomes are limited. Objective: To evaluate and compare functional recovery and kyphotic correction in patients undergoing kyphoplasty versus posterior spinal fixation (with or without vertebroplasty) for symptomatic osteoporotic dorsolumbar fractures. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted from January 2023 to December 2024 at Civil Hospital Ahmedabad involving 25 patients with symptomatic dorsolumbar OVCFs. Patients undergone kyphoplasty (n=13) or PSF (n=12) based on clinical indications. Outcomes were assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), local kyphosis angle, and anterior vertebral body height over 6 months. Results: Both groups showed significant improvement in pain and function with no statistical difference in VAS and ODI scores at 6 months. Kyphoplasty demonstrated superior kyphosis correction (8.72° vs. 5.99°, p<0.001) and vertebral height restoration (26.57 mm vs. 20.04 mm, p=0.001). Kyphoplasty was also associated with shorter operative time, reduced blood loss, and fewer complications. Conclusion: Kyphoplasty is a safe and effective minimally invasive procedure providing better kyphotic correction and recovery compared to posterior spinal fixation in selected OVCF patients without instability or neurological deficits.

    C. indologenes is a widespread bacteria in the environment, primarily in soil and water. Chryseobacterium indologenes is an aerobic, non-motile, catalase, oxidase & indole positive and non-glucose fermenting Gram negative bacillus. It can survive in chlorine-treated municipal water supplies & can colonize the sink basins and tap waters of the hospitals. Contamination of the medical devices containing water (respirators, intubation tubes, humidifiers, incubators for newborns, etc.) in hospital settings may lead to serious infections. Typically, C. indologenes causes major health care-associated infections such as pneumonia, empyema, pyelonephritis, cystitis, peritonitis, septicemia, meningitis. Though C. indologens is not a part of normal microbial flora it is rarely reported as a pathogen. Management of C. indologenes infection in neonates is not adequately documented due to underreporting, particularly in India. Because of its intrinsic resistance and the less availability of data from the literature, the effective empirical treatment of C. indologenes is challenging. We present an uncommon case of bacteremia caused by C. indologenes in a late preterm SGA newborn having moderate respiratory distress syndrome with thrombocytopenia who was successfully treated. Multidrug resistant C. indologenes should be considered a health-care associated pathogen in neonates receiving treatments involving invasive equipment use and long-term antibiotic therapy.

    The etiopathology of acquired cholesteatoma has undergone numerous changes over the past 150 years. However, certain facts stand out with clarity. The presence of cytokeratins in acquired cholesteatoma, which are akin to those found in the tympanic membrane and external auditory canal, shows that these are probably the site of origin of acquired cholesteatoma. The cholesteatoma sac also shows its greatest growth at its tympanic membrane attachment into the middle ear. Implantations of squamous epithelium due to trauma or surgery could be another originating factor. The basic pathology is the formation of papillary cones from the tympanic membrane or external auditory canal, which progress from microcholesteatoma to frank cholesteatoma with keratin collections. There is an altered matrix metalloproteinase pathway. Tumor necrosis factor activation with altered wound healing process contributes to the collateral destruction of bone. Trisomy and aneuploidy of chromosome 8 predispose to cholesteatoma formation in affected individuals. In this article, we present the etiopathology of acquired cholesteatoma as it stands today.

    Background: Sciatica due to L4–L5 nerve root compression often leads to persistent pain, functional limitation, and reduced quality of life. Conventional physiotherapy provides partial relief, but multimodal approaches may offer enhanced clinical outcomes. Objective: To compare the effectiveness of a multimodal physiotherapy program—comprising kinesio taping, neural glides, and core strengthening exercises—versus conventional care in patients with unilateral sciatica due to L4–L5 nerve root compression. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted on patients clinically diagnosed with unilateral L4–L5 radiculopathy (n = [insert sample size]). Participants were allocated into two groups: Group A received multimodal physiotherapy (kinesio taping, neural mobilization, and core stabilization), while Group B underwent conventional physiotherapy care. Treatment was administered for [insert duration, e.g., 4 weeks]. Pain intensity (VAS), functional disability (ODI), and neural mobility tests were assessed at baseline and post-intervention. Results: Both groups demonstrated significant improvement post-intervention (p < 0.05). However, Group A showed greater reduction in pain scores, superior improvement in functional ability, and enhanced neural mobility compared to Group B. Effect sizes indicated clinically meaningful benefits favoring the multimodal physiotherapy group. Conclusion: Multimodal physiotherapy integrating kinesio taping, neural glides, and core strengthening is more effective than conventional care in managing unilateral sciatica due to L4–L5 nerve root compression. Incorporating combined neurodynamic and stabilization strategies may optimize conservative management and accelerate recovery in lumbar radiculopathy.

    Society refers to a group of people having their own way of living, culture, tradition, convention, norms and the like. Now the question is how such society has emerged. With the advent of Neolithic Revolution and the rise of agriculture leading to a food surplus, private property, inequality and the emergence of class distinction a transition from a primitive classless society to a slave society occurred. Subjugation of some people by others created a society where the control of a dominant class over a labouring class became the primary mode of production. The economy in a slave society was characterised by large scale production of agricultural output using unpaid labour of enslaved people. The feudal mode of production was characterised by a small class of landlords owning land and extracting surplus labour and crops from peasants in exchange for protection and use of small plots of land. A hierarchical social structure of lords and serfs had been created and lords used political and legal power to exploit peasants. The capitalist mode of production relied on commodity production for market exchange with private ownership of the means of production by a small class of capitalists who hired wage labourers to generate profit and accumulate capital. Instead of being ruined by its own crises capitalism has now revived through the introduction of democracy. A tendency has been developed to make some benefits available to targeted group of people who are selected not on the basis of their need but on the basis of the need of the patrons of capitalism. Here arises the capitalist-ruler nexus feeding each other and finding the way to revitalise capitalism. Democracy acts as a crucial instrument in this regard. In a nutshell democracy has become a weapon to keep capitalism out of crises and in the process capitalist-ruler nexus is quite visible and they feed each other in their operations. We the common people of the society have turned into helpless silent spectators of capitalist exploitation surrendering our voice to created obligations or becoming helpless shading tears. Mass upheaval through proper education is the only way out. This present paper seeks to analyse the process and make some concluding observations.

    The protection of textual relational data integrity is a great concern in database watermarking. Existing zero-distortion schemes are mostly designed for numeric data. This paper presents a novel distortion-free watermarking method for authentication of non-numeric relational data. For the sake of efficiency in tamper detection and localization, the database relation is horizontally partitioned into groups of average equal size. The watermark embedding process is performed in each group independently by securely modifying the case of some attributes, while preserving data integrity. Through experiments with real-world data, we demonstrate that our scheme achieves 100% tamper detection rates.

    Objective: Transverse acetabular fractures (TAFs) account for roughly 25–30% of acetabular injuries and may occur either with or without associated posterior wall (PW) involvement. Achieving anatomical reduction is essential for optimal outcomes, yet recent efforts aim to minimize surgical invasiveness. Emerging studies have suggested that posterior column fixation (PCF) via a single approach may be sufficient. This investigationaims to compare the radiological and clinical outcomes of single-column versus double-column fixation (DCF) in TAFs, with particular focus on residual displacement, maintenance of reduction, and complication rates. Methods: This prospective randomized controlled trial was conducted over a two-year period at Ainshams University Hospitals. Thirty adult cases presenting with transverse or transverse–posterior wall fractures (TPWF) were randomly stratifiedinto two groups: Group A (n=15) received single-column posterior plating, while Group B (n=15) underwent DCF through combined posterior and anterior approaches. Clinical outcomes were assessed at two years using the modified Merle d’Aubigné and Postel (MDP) score, and radiographic reduction was evaluated according to the Matta criteria. Results: At 2-year follow-up, no statistically significant differences were found between groups in clinical scores (p=0.699) or radiological reduction outcomes (p=0.710). Immediate postoperative imaging likewise showed no meaningful variation (p=0.516). By contrast, Group B required significantly longer operative time and sustained greater blood loss (both p<0.001). Complication rates remained similar (33.4% vs. 40%; p=0.705). Conclusion: Single- and double-column fixation yield comparable clinical and radiological outcomes in TAFs. Nevertheless, PCF alone offers the advantages of shorter operative time and reduced blood loss, making it a viable option when adequate indirect anterior column reduction can be obtained.

    Background: Mechanical low back pain (MLBP) is a prevalent musculoskeletal condition causing pain and functional disability. Electrotherapy modalities such as Ultra Reiz Current and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) are commonly used in physiotherapy, but comparative evidence regarding their effectiveness is limited. Objective: To compare the effects of Ultra Reiz Current and TENS on pain intensity and functional disability in patients with chronic mechanical low back pain. Methods: A total of 60 patients with mechanical low back pain were enrolled and randomly assigned to two groups: Ultra Reiz Current (n = 30) and TENS (n = 30). Two patients from the TENS group were lost to follow-up. Both groups received treatment three days per week for six consecutive weeks. Pain intensity was measured using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and functional disability was assessed with the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) at baseline and post-intervention. Data were analyzed using paired and independent t-tests, with p < 0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: Both interventions significantly reduced pain and disability. In the Ultra Reiz Current group, VAS decreased from 7.07 ± 1.39 to 1.47 ± 0.64, and ODI decreased from 25.73 ± 5.22 to 5.67 ± 2.97 (p < 0.001). In the TENS group, VAS decreased from 7.07 ± 1.39 to 2.27 ± 0.96, and ODI decreased from 25.00 ± 6.15 to 10.40 ± 1.88 (p < 0.001). Post-intervention, Ultra Reiz Current showed significantly greater improvements than TENS in both VAS (p = 0.006) and ODI (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Both Ultra Reiz Current and TENS are effective for managing pain and improving function in chronic mechanical low back pain, with Ultra Reiz Current demonstrating superior clinical benefits. These findings support its use as a preferred electrotherapeutic modality in physiotherapy rehabilitation programs.

    A man in his mid-40s presented with a painful, gradually growing right sided scrotal swelling for five months. There was no history of fever, trauma, or significant medical conditions. Examination revealed a firm, ovoid swelling measuring 2.5 cm × 2 cm, separate from the right testis, with no inguinal lymphadenopathy. Ultrasonography showed a well defined soft tissue lesion in the scrotal wall, measuring 21.7 mm × 16.7 mm, suggestive of a hemangioma, while both testes appeared normal. The patient underwent excisional biopsy with a transverse incision, revealing a well-encapsulated, yellow swelling. Complete excision was achieved without complications. Histopathological analysis identified the specimen as cutaneous dermatofibroma or schwannoma, with immunohistochemistry confirming schwannoma positivity for S100. The postoperative period was uneventful, with advice to monitor for any new swellings or abnormalities.

    Background: De Quervain’s tenosynovitis is a painful and disabling condition that affects the tendons of the abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis within the first dorsal compartment of the wrist. It is commonly seen in individuals engaged in repetitive hand or wrist movements, such as those using smartphones, lifting infants, or performing occupational activities. The resulting inflammation causes pain, swelling, and restriction in thumb and wrist motion, leading to compromised hand function and quality of life. Physiotherapeutic modalities like Long Wave Diathermy (LWD) and Ultrasound (US) have been widely used for their thermal and mechanical effects in promoting soft tissue healing, reducing inflammation, and relieving pain. However, comparative evidence on their efficacy in De Quervain’s tenosynovitis is limited. Objective: This study aimed to compare the therapeutic efficacy of Long Wave Diathermy and Ultrasound therapy in reducing pain intensity and improving wrist function in patients diagnosed with De Quervain’s tenosynovitis. Methods: A total of 36 participants aged between 20 and 50 years with clinically diagnosed De Quervain’s tenosynovitis were recruited from the Physiotherapy Department at Career College, Bhopal. The participants were randomly allocated into two equal groups: Group A received Long Wave Diathermy (15 minutes/session, 5 days/week) along with standard stretching and splinting protocols; Group B received Ultrasound therapy (1 MHz, 1.5 W/cm² pulsed mode, 7 minutes/session, 5 days/week) along with the same exercise protocol. Both groups underwent treatment for a period of four weeks. The primary outcome measures were the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) for pain and the Patient-Rated Wrist Evaluation (PRWE) for functional assessment. Pre- and post-treatment scores were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods. Results: Both Group A and Group B showed significant improvements in VAS and PRWE scores after 4 weeks of intervention (p < 0.05). However, inter-group comparison revealed that Group A demonstrated significantly greater reductions in pain and better functional gains than Group B (p < 0.01). These findings indicate the superior clinical efficacy of Long Wave Diathermy over Ultrasound therapy in managing the symptoms associated with De Quervain’s tenosynovitis. Conclusion: The study concludes that Long Wave Diathermy is more effective than Ultrasound in alleviating pain and restoring wrist function in individuals with De Quervain’s tenosynovitis. It offers a safe, non-invasive, and efficient therapeutic option that can be integrated into conservative physiotherapy treatment plans for better patient outcomes.

Objectives: To estimate the seroprevalence of rubella immunity in reproductive age women To administer vaccine to seronegative women.Method: This study was conducted in department of obstetrics and gynecology in collaboration with department of microbiology at M L N medical college, Prayagraj, UP among patients attending to gynecology OPD. in collaboration with the microbiology department. After obtaining written informed consent, a questionnaire form was filled ELISA kit Rubella IgG and IgM purchased from BIOGENIX, Inc., were used for serological testing Results: Out of 530 Healthy pregnant women of reproductive age group enrolled in study, 517 (97.5%) were immune to rubella and 13 women (2.45%) were susceptible to rubella whereas no women were found to have active or acute rubella infection during the course of study. Conclusion: IgG seroprevalence can be used as an indicator of rubella elimination in the country.Screening for rubella susceptibility by serology for all women of childbearing age at their first preconception counselling is still relevant. The need for intensification of awareness programmes regarding government immunization strategies should also be considered.

    Background: Dental Fear is a serious issue that negatively affect oral health. Early detection of the causes of fear is essential to solve this issue. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the prevalence and various causes of Dental Fear among Saudi health sector employees, including dentists and other health specialties and public sectors dental clinic visitors at Althgar general hospital in Jeddah , K.S.A Methods: This study was a cross-sectional questionnaire survey, based on a structured questionnaire that was developed by the authors. The sample size was estimated with a confidence level of 95%; a sample size of 200 was estimated. The inclusion criteria included participants ≥18 years old, who lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, both males and females. Those who were under the age of 18 years, non-residents of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia were excluded. Written informed consent was obtained from each participant. If a patient could not read and sign the consent form, we defined him as illiterate and was excluded from the study. Results: Age is not a significant factor in increasing the prevalence of dental fear. However, there is a statistically very significant difference between males and females regarding dental fear (p-value 0.0000017). As female have fear from dental clinic visit more than male. The percentage of fear is more in the public group of dental clinic visitors than medical group. The most common cause of dental fear during the dental appointment is dental needle. Which was reflected as a complaint of increased heart palpitation. Conclusion: Health awareness and education play a key role in which they motivate people to seek dental services and preserve their oral condition in a health appearance.

    Background: Non-compaction cardiomyopathy is a rare and potentially serious form of primary cardiomyopathy characterized by prominent myocardial trabeculations and deep recesses resulting from a defect in embryonic myocardial compaction. Clinically, it can manifest with heart failure, potentially lethal arrhythmias, and thromboembolic events. It is frequently underdiagnosed, thus posing a high risk during anesthetic procedures. Objective: The objective of this mini narrative review is to highlight the importance of preoperative recognition of non-compaction cardiomyopathy by the anesthesiologist, highlighting its clinical implications in the perioperative period and the available anesthetic management strategies. Conclusion: Preoperative identification of non-compaction cardiomyopathy allows the anesthesiologist to adopt specific and individualized strategies, such as detailed cardiological evaluation, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and careful choice of anesthetic agents that minimize changes in myocardial contractility. Cases with ventricular dysfunction or arrhythmias require additional care, including inotropic support, availability of defibrillation, and thromboembolic prophylaxis. The use of intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography has been useful in more complex procedures. Knowledge of non-compaction cardiomyopathy is essential for safe anesthetic practice, and consequently, appropriate management can significantly reduce the risk of intraoperative and postoperative complications, improving the prognosis for these patients.

    Women’s empowerment has become a pivotal driver of sustainable rural development, and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) have emerged as crucial grassroots institutions that extend beyond savings and credit to foster socio-economic transformation. This study investigates the role of SHGs in Falta C.D. Block, South 24 Parganas, by analyzing members’ socio-economic status, assessing factors influencing women’s empowerment, and identifying key challenges with corresponding recommendations.The study draws on primary data from a survey of 500 SHG members, supported by interviews and FGD, and secondary sources including census records, reports, and literature, employing descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and multinomial logistic regression to examine determinants of empowerment and satisfaction.Findings show that SHGs significantly improve women’s income, savings, decision-making, and political participation, with education, occupation, training, funding, and family support as key determinants of empowerment; yet challenges such as irregular loan repayment, weak managerial skills, poor coordination, low awareness, and family resistance persist, underscoring the need for diversified skills, literacy, structured awareness campaigns, flexible credit, and family sensitization to ensure SHG sustainability.In conclusion, SHGs in Falta C.D. Block demonstrate remarkable potential as vehicles of women’s empowerment and rural transformation, but their success depends on continuous capacity-building, institutional innovation, and inclusive policy support.

    This article analyses the concept of mythic masculinities in M. T. Vasudevan Nair’s Randamoozham (translated as Bhima: Lone Warrior), a retelling of the Mahabharata from Bhima’s perspective. While traditional epics such as Vyasa’s Mahabharata celebrate the hegemonic, warrior-oriented masculinity tied to caste and power hierarchies, Nair reimagines Bhima as a deeply human figure negotiating between strength and vulnerability. This study primarily explores Bhima’s embodiment of hegemonic and complicit masculinities through body, language, actions, and emotionality, using R. W. Connell’s framework of multiple masculinities—hegemonic, complicit, subordinated, and marginalized. It also focuses on John Beynon’s phases of warrior masculinity to emphasize how Bhima oscillates between conformity to and resistance against epic ideals. By stripping away Bhima’s divine aura, Nair highlights the internal crises and contradictions of masculinity, showing it as fluid, relational, and historically contingent. This reinterpretation challenges the rigid mythic framework that has long confined masculinity in the Indian context to a singular warrior model, and instead situates Bhima as a site where gender norms are both upheld and problematized. Through qualitative content analysis and textual interpretation in this study, Bhima’s traits and actions are categorised into hegemonic and complicit masculinities, while foregrounding the narrative strategies that humanise his character. Thus, the article contributes to the underexplored field of masculinity studies in Eastern literary traditions, foregrounding how mythic retellings can reframe the politics of gender and power in contemporary discourse.

    Background: Maize, Zea mays belongs to the family Poaceae, and its production is affected by many pests. ICAR recognized one of the major pests called fall army worm, Spodoptera frugiperda (FAW) in 2018. The fall armyworm is a severe pest of many cereal, medicinal plants and others crops. The nature of this pest is polymorphic, so the management of FAW for agriculture requires necessary attention. Biological control methods reduce the burden of chemical insecticides in the agriculture field because chemicals reduce taste and nutritional value of food along with soil, water, air pollution and health hazards. Method: In the present study, endoparasitoid (Trichogramma pretiosum), entomopathogen (Beauveria bassiana), and plant based insecticides like neem seed kernel extract have been used as biocontrol agents for the management of fall armyworm. The experiment was conducted in randomized block design with three replications. Interpretation and Conclusion: The biological control agents are very effective in the management of FAW. The egg parasitoid Trichogramma pretiosum achieved 44.26% mortality, whereas the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana recorded the highest mortality rate at 46.16% against Spodoptera frugiperda larvae. These findings suggest that B. bassiana demonstrated superior pathogenic potential for larval suppression relative to botanical formulations and parasitoid-based interventions.

This practice has been adopted recently in some parts of the world because it permits use of resources more efficiently during the long production cycle of pineapple and in addition reduces the dependency on one crop and spreads income along the cultivation cycle. The pineapple crop also offers protection against heavy rain and winds to the intercropped species. In turn growth of the pineapple crop is healthier due to frequent weeding, fertilizer and pesticide application to the inter row crops. Pineapple cultivation is carried out routinely as a monocrop; as a result the crop is susceptible to many fungal diseases. Recent reports recommend crop rotation in pineapple farms as a means of controlling fungal diseases. The original plant is called the ‘plant crop’ while the fruit developed from the lateral, axillary branch attached to the axis of the plant crop is called the ‘first ratoon’. A healthy root system is necessary to produce successful ratoon crops. Ratoon crops are fertilized, irrigated, forced, ripened and harvested in a way similar to the plant crop. The amount of fertilizer used however is reduced. Ananas comosus belongs to the Bromeliaceae family, which is widely distributed in the Neotropics, Mexico, Brazil, and the Amazons, from Guayanas to northern Argentina, as well as in Africa and Asia. This fruit is consumed fresh and canned, but also in the form of juice, yogurt, ice cream, and jam. Vinegar and refreshing beverages such as garapiña and tepache are produced from its juice. Tepache and garapiña are alcoholic beverages. Garapiña is made from pineapple pulp and peel while tepache is usually made from pineapple peel only, but it can also be made from other fruits such as apple, orange, guava, and tamarind. Both beverages have been consumed since pre-Hispanic times and the etymology of the name is unclear. Some authors report that the name derives from the indigenous Nahuatl language: ʻtépiatl’ or ʻtepiatzin’ means water or beverage from maize, a variety named ʻtépitl’. Tepache and garapiña have a low alcohol concentration and are consumed principally in Mexico City; however, variants can be found and consumed in the Mexican states of Hidalgo, Puebla, Morelos, San Luis Potosí, Oaxaca, Jalisco, and Nayaritm. The pineapple is a tropical plant with an edible fruit; it is the most economically significant plant in the family Bromeliaceae. The pineapple is indigenous to South America, where it has been cultivated for many centuries. The introduction of the pineapple plant to Europe in the 17th century made it a significant cultural icon of luxury. Since the 1820s, pineapple has been commercially grown in greenhouses and many tropical plantations. Pineapples grow as a small shrub; the individual flowers of the unpollinated plant fuse to form a multiple fruit. The plant normally propagates from the offset produced at the top of the fruit or from a side shoot, and typically matures within a year. Del Monte took cultivar '73–114', dubbed 'MD-2', to its plantations in Costa Rica, found it to be well-suited to growing there, and launched it publicly in 1996 as 'Gold Extra Sweet', while Del Monte also began marketing '73–50', dubbed 'CO-2', as 'Del Monte Gold'. The Maui Pineapple Company began growing variety 73-50 in 1988 and named it Maui Gold.

    Avocados, Alligator pear and butter fruit belongs to Family: Lauraceae, Genus: Persea, Species: Persea americana. Aztecs in Mexico and from there derived the term ‘avocado’, aguacate (in Spanish), avocat (in French) and abacate (in Portuguese). The Aztecs considered avocados an aphrodisiac and called it huacatl, meaning testicles, reflecting the fruit shape. The fruit is also called palta in Chile, Ecuador and Peru, and has been referred to by a number of other terms such as alligator pear, vegetable butter, butter pear and midshipman’s butter. Characteristics of alligator pear and butter fruit are; Hardiness and Adaptability: Persea americana var. drymifolia is more tolerant to cold temperatures compared to other avocado varieties, making it suitable for cultivation in regions with cooler winters. Growth Habit: This variety tends to grow into a larger tree than some other avocado types, with a more vigorous root system that allows it to thrive in a variety of soil conditions. Fruit: The avocados produced by Persea americana var. drymifolia are often smaller and have a thicker skin than those from other varieties. They are prized for their rich, creamy flavor and high oil content. A stoneless avocado, marketed as a "cocktail avocado", which does not contain a pit, is available on a limited basis. They are five to eight centimetres long; the whole fruit may be eaten, including the skin. It is produced from an unpollinated blossom in which the seed does not develop. Seedless avocados regularly appear on trees. Known in the avocado industry as "cukes", they are usually discarded commercially due to their small size. Avocados were first domesticated in tropical America, where they were cultivated as individual seedling trees before the Spanish conquest. The plants did not receive serious horticultural attention until about 1900, when horticulturists found that production of grafted trees was simple and allowed perpetuation of superior seedlings and the establishment of orchards. Flourishing avocado industries have since developed around the world in suitable climates. Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Indonesia, and Colombia were the top producers worldwide in 2020. The fruits are also grown commercially in Florida, California, Hawaii, Kenya, Haiti, Chile, South Africa, Brazil, and Australia, as well as on some Pacific islands and in several Mediterranean countries, including Israel. Horticulturally, avocados are divided into the Mexican (Persea americana, variety drymifolia), West Indian (P. americana, variety americana), and Guatemalan (P. americana, variety guatemalensis) races, with more than 1,000 cultivars between them. The Mexican race is native to Mexico and is characterized by the anise-like odour of the leaves and by small (weighing 90–240 g , thin-skinned fruits of rich flavour and excellent quality. Mexican avocados are the hardiest, growing in regions too cold for other types. The Guatemalan race, native to the highlands of Central America, is slightly less frost-resistant than the Mexican and produces fruits of medium to large size (240–1,000 g), characterized by thick woody skins and a ripening season different from that of the others. Cultivation of the West Indian race, the most tropical in character, is limited in the United States to southern Florida. Hass avocado, the most popular cultivar in the United States, is a Mexican-Guatemalan hybrid.

    The Rubiaceae family's Richardia scabra, often known as Florida Pusley, is known locally in Bangladesh as "Riim-raaz." Because of its wide spectrum of pharmacological actions, the herb Richardia scabra, which has long been utilized in folk medicine, has attracted increasing scientific attention. Strong antibacterial, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and neuropharmacological properties, particularly in its petroleum ether and methanol extracts, have been shown in recent studies to support its traditional applications. The MTT assay was used to investigate the cytotoxicity of the R. scabra compound on HeLa cells. The compound's IC₅₀ of 46.09 µg/mL indicated that it was cytotoxic in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, it frequently stopped the cell cycle, primarily in the G0/G1 and S phases, which is encouraging for its potential application as a lead chemical in the treatment of cancer. Carrageenan-induced paw edema in mice demonstrated R. scabra anti-inflammatory properties. Methanolic extract (MRS) demonstrated its safety and effectiveness by dramatically reducing inflammation (116.00±3.67 inhibition) at 200 mg/kg, with no toxicity even at 4000 mg/kg. Methanolic (MRS) and petroleum ether (PRS) extracts both show CNS depressive, anxiolytic, and antidepressant effects in terms of neuropharmacological action.

    Child behavioral problems are serious and may have indirect effect in the child’s life in the future if not taken care of past. The growing years of a child are perhaps the most difficult a family ever has. It is during these years that a child comes to terms with various concepts of life, like family belonging, discipline, social norms etc. It is necessary to differentiate between mischievous children and child behavioral problems. The study was conducted for a period of 30 days in selected school of Ambikapur, surguja district, Chhattisgarh. 60 primary school teachers were selected. self-structured questionnaire was used for data collection to assess the knowledge of primary school teacher. The research approach adopted for the study was evaluative with one group pre-test post-test design. The independent variable in this study was the informational booklet on management of common behavior problems of school children for primary school teachers and dependent variable were knowledge of primary school teacher regarding management of common behavior problems. In the post test the entire primary school teacher gained adequate knowledge about management of common behavior problems of school children in selected school.The result of the study showed that there was a difference between pre-test and post –test knowledge scores of the primary school teachers regarding management of common behavior problem of school children, where the pretest knowledge score reports primary school teachers 13.33% of the subjects had good knowledge, 85% of the subjects had average knowledge, 1.66% of the subjects had poor knowledge. Where as in post-test 50 % of the subjects had good knowledge, 50% of the subjects had average knowledge, none of them had poor knowledge.
